As a pastor taking his first group to the Holy Land, I was so thankful to have the Travel with Friends team helping me every step of the way. They were amazing from the day that we picked the date to the day we returned. We loved the support staff, the guides, the accommodations and the travel arrangements. Highly recommended!

Day 1 Depart USA
Today our tour members meet at our International Airport for check-in formalities. After we board our flight, dinner and breakfast are served aloft and we have time to rest.
Day 2 Arrive/ Caesarea Maritima/ Mt. Carmel
You will be landing at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. We begin our day along the coastal plain and the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea. This ancient port was built by Herod the Great. We will tour the fortress used by the Crusaders. It was here that the first Gentile, Cornelius the Centurion, and his household were baptized. Proceed to Mt. Carmel, where Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal. Proceed to Tiberius for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 Tel Dan/ Caesarea Philippi/ Galilee/ Boat Ride
After breakfast, we travel to Tel Dan, one of the most Northern cities in Israel. See Caesarea Philippi at the base of Mt. Hermon. The tour continues to the Mount of Beatitudes where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount. We will cruise across the Sea of Galilee to Capernaum. After our visit to the ruins of the 3rd century synagogue, we will proceed to Tabgha, the place of multiplication of Loaves and Fishes. A delicious St. Peters fish luncheon will be waiting for us at a famous resort along the Galilean seashore. This is a meal you will never forget. We return to our hotel on the lovely shore of the Sea of Galilee for dinner and another overnight stay.
Day 4 Megiddo/ Nazareth/ Jordan River
This morning our tour continues to Megiddo and the Valley of Armageddon. There will be time to visit the historical military fortress that controlled the highway between Egypt and Mesopotamia. We will see the excavation and museum showing how this famous hill served such an important function in the wars of antiquity. Our day will end with a Baptism service on the Jordan River. Dinner and over night in Tiberius.
Day 5 Beit Shean/ Jericho/ Jerusalem
This morning our journey takes us to the Jordan valley to visit Beit Shean, one of the Decapolis cities and the biggest remain of a complete Roman City. We continue through the Jordan Valley to Jericho, the oldest known inhabited city in the world; there you will see the ancient Tel of Jericho and Mount of Temptation before traveling to the Holy City of Jerusalem. Our first sight of the Golden City will be from the Mt. Of Olives area. Tonight, we will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Jerusalem.
Day 6 Jerusalem/ Bethlehem
Today we will begin our day of touring at the Mount of Olives and descend on foot to the Garden of Gethsemane. Ancient olive trees stand there, some for more than 2000 years old. Next we visit the House of Caiaphas, where Jesus was held the night before his crucifixion. This afternoon we will visit Bethlehem, where you will see the Church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s field, and the fields of Boaz and Ruth. We travel back to our hotel for dinner and another overnight stay in Jerusalem.
Day 7 Jerusalem Old City/ Garden Tomb
Today we will travel back 2000 years as we take a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. We begin at the Lions Gate where we will see the old Crusader’s Church of St. Ann, the pool of Bethesda and the remains of Antonia Fortress, the site of the trial of Jesus. We will walk the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After lunch, we visit the Jewish Quarter; then on to the “Wailing Wall” and Mount Moriah which is called Temple Mount. Here on the site of Solomon’s Temple stands the Dome of the Rock and the El Aska Mosque. Mt. Moriah was the site of Abraham’s offering of Isaac as a sacrifice. Enjoy a visit to the Garden Tomb. This will truly be a memorable day! Dinner will be served at your hotel in Jerusalem.
Day 8 Jericho / Masada / Ein Gedi / Dead Sea / Jordan
Today we will travel to Jericho, the oldest known inhabited city in the world. Then we will travel to Masada, Herod’s ancient fortress built high atop a mountain on the edge of the Dead Sea. Also, we will see Ein Gedi, a natural oasis in the desert; swim in the Dead Sea and enjoy the rejuvenating minerals. Early evening, we will cross over into Jordan for dinner and overnight in Aqaba.
Day 9 Petra
Today we will visit Petra, the ancient hidden city. Petra is the place where many Bible prophecy scholars believe God will prepare to house all of the people of Israel that flee the Anti-Christ (Rev. 12:6). Petra is also one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. After this, we travel to our hotel in Aqaba for overnight and dinner.
Day 10 Eilat Aquarium / Tel Aviv / Farewell Dinner
Today we begin by crossing back into Israel and visiting the Eilat Aquarium. This will give you a firsthand look at the underwater of the beautiful Red Sea. Afterwards, we will begin our travel to Tel Aviv and during this time our guide will be pointing out many historical and biblical areas. A wonderful farewell dinner will await us in Tel Aviv and then transfer to the airport for our travel home.
Day 11 Return to USA
Relax and reflect on your flight home.

I had a most wonderful trip, accompanied by 15 new friends from South Dakota led by Pastor Rooney, 4-13 Feb 20. Because I was a VERY late add-on to their trip, I dealt with 4 people from Friends and each was OUTSTANDING. However, the STAR who deserves special note is Kelsie Vail, the Air Specialist: she was able to save me over $1,700.00 on my upgraded seating [disabled Vet with BAD back]. She was incredibly personable, professional, and simply "down-home" friendly, genuine, and nice!! The trip was a true "bucket-list" adventure, walking where Jesus walked, preached, and performed miracles [I was overwhelmed many times and want to visit Israel again!]. The sights were amazing; the bus was quite comfortable; and our Tour Leader ("Charlie") and bus drivers were extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and Safety-conscious. Truly the VERY BEST overseas tour I have ever taken! Thank you, Friends, and especially VP Mitch Jensen and Kelsie Vail for all the pre-trip information, help overcoming flight delay/change, and post-trip timely assistance. They will NOT let you down! Shalom!
The faces of Friends www.TravelWithFriends.com, BTR (Bill), Claudia and Charlie Dajani. An amazing experience that could only be possible with this team! From the first of booking our trip through to seeing us off at the ticket counter for our return trip back to the states. I absolutely recommend going to Israel and doing it with Friends travel. Charlie, you are amazing. Charlie’s extensive knowledge, humor, care of the group and individuals, mapping and juggling of sites to make it seamless and timely was a true treasure. Outstanding job!!!!! You all helped make this an experience to remember, share and HIGHLY recommend! ❤️
