Relax and rest on your flight from the USA.

Day 2 Arrive in Israel

You will be landing at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Afterwards, we board our motor coach and go to our hotel on the beautiful Sea of Galilee. After we have checked into our hotel, we enjoy a dinner together and time to relax.

Day 3 Caesarea/ Megiddo/ Nazareth/ Cana

Caesarea/ Megiddo/ Nazareth/ Cana

This morning we begin our day along the coastal plain and the Meditteranean Sea to Caesarea. This ancient port was built by Herod the Great. We will tour the fortress used by the Crusaders. It was here that the first Gentile, Cornelius the Centurion, and his household were baptized. Our tour continues to Megiddo and the Valley of Armageddon. This will be a highlight of our journey since a worship service will be held in this prophetic spot. We will then visit the historical military fortress that controlled the highway between Egypt and Mesopotamia, and learn how this famous hill was used in the wars of antiquity. We continue on to Nazareth where you will see Cana of Galilee. Our day will end in Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee where we will spend our last night before traveling to Jerusalem.

Day 4 Caesarea Philippi/Tel Dan/Mt. of Beatitudes/Sea of Galilee

Today we will visit the remains of the 5 temples that existed in the time of Christ. From there, we will start hiking in a place where you will have a great view of the waterfalls of Banyas.

We will visit Tel Dan, an archeological park and hike next to one of the sources of the Jordan River. We will visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, the site of the Sermon on the Mount. Finally, we finish the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee.

Dinner will be served in the hotel in Tiberius. 

Day 5 Tabgha/St. Peter's Primacy Capernaum/Baptismal Site

Today we are going to tour the area around the Sea of Galilee.

We will start the day in the Church of the Multiplication, then we will visit the church that commemorates 2 events that took place after the resurrection of Jesus. Next we will visit Capernaum, the town of Jesus.

On our way to the baptismal site, we will walk in the Valley of doves that connects Nazareth with the Sea of Galilee and see the caves where the Jewish Zealots lived.

Dinner will be served in the hotel in Tiberius. 

Day 6 Scythopolis/Springs of Gideion/Genesis Land/Jerusalem

Scythopolis/Springs of Gideion/Genesis Land/Jerusalem

We will start our day in the area where Gideon tested his men.

Next we will visit the remains of Beit She’an, the best preserved Roman city in Israel. You will have the opportunity to hike the parts of the ancient city that date back to the time of the Canaanites.

We will visit the Genesis land where you will see how people lived in the time of Abraham.

Dinner will be served in the hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 7 Jerusalem/ Bethlehem

Today we will begin our day of touring at the Mount of Olives and descend on foot to the Garden of Gethsemane. Ancient olive trees stand there, some for more than 2000 years old.

Next we visit the House of Caiaphas, where Jesus was held the night before his crucifixion. Afterwards, we travel on to Mount Zion and the Upper Room where we will have time for devotion and worship.

This afternoon we will visit Bethlehem, where you will see the Church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s Field, and the fields of Boaz and Ruth.

We travel back to our hotel for dinner and another overnight stay in Jerusalem.

Day 8 Dead Sea/Masada/Quamran/Ein Gedi

Dead Sea/Masada/Quamran/Ein Gedi

This morning we travel to Herod’s fortress of Masada, which was built high atop a mountain on the edge of the Dead Sea. Next we will hike to the David Waterfall in Ein Gedi.

This afternoon we visit Quamran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Today’s journey will end with time and relaxation on the shore of the Dead Sea.

Day 9 Old City of Jerusalem

Today we will travel back 2000 years as we take a walking tour of the Old City of Jerusalem. We begin at the Lions Gate where we will see the old Crusader’s Church of St. Anne, the pool of Bethesda and the remains of Antonia Fortress, the site of the trial of Jesus. We will walk the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After lunch, we visit the Jewish Quarter; then on to the Western Wall and Mount Moriah which is called Temple Mount. Here on the site of Solomon’s Temple stands the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Mt. Moriah was the site of Abraham’s offering of Isaac as a sacrifice. This will truly be a memorable day! Dinner will be served at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 10 Return to USA
