Day 1 Depart USA

Day 2 Arrive in Israel

Arrive in Israel

You will be landing at Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv. Afterwards, we board our motor coach and go to our hotel on the beautiful Sea of Galilee. After we have checked into our hotel, we enjoy a dinner together and time to relax.

Day 3 Caesarea/Megiddo/Zichron Yaakov/Nazareth/Tiberuis

This morning we begin our day along the coastal plain and the Mediterranean Sea to Caesarea. This ancient port was built by Herod the Great. We will tour the fortress used by the Crusaders. It was here that the first Gentile, Cornelius the Centurion and his house hold were baptized.

Our tour continues to Megiddo and the Valley of Armageddon. There will be time to visit the historical military fortress that controlled the highway between Egypt and Mesopotamia. We will see the excavation and museum showing how this famous hill served such an important function in the wars of antiquity. Then we will visit the Zichron Yaakov, the first winery on the list where we will have a wine tasting tour with a lot of information about wine production and even the history of the town itself.

We continue on to Nazareth where you will see Cana of Galilee. Our day will end in Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee. 

Day 4 Mount of Beatitudes/Tabgha/Capernaum/Golan heights Winery

This morning we will start the day where Jesus gave the sermon on the mount. Next, we will visit the church of the multiplication where the feeding of the 5,000 took place. Before heading to the Golan Heights, we will stop at Capernaum, the town of Jesus.

Once we arrive at the Golan Heights winery, we will hear about the different types of wine that are produced in Israel, and will have a wine tasting tour where we will talk about the wine production in the area of the Golan heights and about the political situation with Syria.

Our day will end in Tiberius on the Sea of Galilee.

Day 5 Scythopolis/Baptismal Site/Jericho/Jerusalem

First, we will drive to the area of the Jordan Valley and visit Scytholpolis. This is a member of the Decapolis, and one of the best preserved Roman Cities in Israel.

Next, we continue through the Jordan Valley to the Baptismal Site on the Jordan River. We proceed towards Jericho, the lowest and oldest town in the world. Afterwards we will visit the archeological park we will drive towards Jerusalem. Dinner will be served in your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 6 Jerusalem/Bethleham

We begin our touring at the Mount of Olives and descend to the Garden of Gethsemane. Ancient olive trees stand there, some of which are more than 2,000 years old.

Next, we will visit the House of Caiphas, where Jesus was held the night before his crucifixion. Afterwards, we will travel on to Mount Zion and the Upper Room where we will will have time for devotion and worship.

This afternoon we will visit Bethlehem where you will see the Church of the Nativity, the Shepherd’s field, and the fields of Boaz and Ruth.

Our last stop will be in visiting one of the famous wineries in the West Bank, located on a hill overlooking Jerusalem and ran by monks. We will have a guided tour and wine tasting, then will travel back to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.

Day 7 Dead Sea/ Masada/ Qumran

This morning we travel to Herod’s ancient fortress of Masada, which was built high atop a mountain on the edge of the Dead Sea. This afternoon we visit Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. Today’s journey will end with time and relaxation on the shore of the Dead Sea. Dinner will be served at your hotel in Jerusalem.

Day 8 Jerusalem and the Old City

Jerusalem and the Old City

Tour the Old City of Jerusalem where it all began. We will start at the Lions Gate to see the old Crusader’s Church of St. Ann, the pool of Bethesda and the remains of Antonia Fortress, which is believed to be the site of the trial of Jesus. Next will be a walk of the Via Dolorosa and visit to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and visit the Jewish Quarter and the “Wailing Wall”, followed by Mt. Moriah, also called Temple Mount. It is here at Solomon’s Temple where the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa Mosque stand. Mt. Moriah was where Abraham offered Isaac as a sacrifice, and is the perfect end to a truly memorable day. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in Jerusalem.

Day 9 Yad Vashem/Garden Tomb

Today we will visit the Israel Museum where you will be able to see how Jerusalem looked like back in the time of Jesus. Next, we will visit the shine of the book that holds the Dead Sea Scrolls.

Then we will visit the Holocaust memorial Yad Vashem. Next, we will drive to Kibbutz Tzuba where we will visit one of the famous wineries in the Judean Hills and a chocolate workshop.

Afterwards, we will travel to the Garden tomb. Finally, we will have our farewell dinner on the way to the airport.
